Alex grew up playing golf competitively. Originally born in Pensacola while her dad was in flight school, Alex started golfing at only 3 years old. She was competing by the time she was 8 and finished 6th in the world at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship when she was 10. In high school, she received many full scholarship offers, but ultimately ended up playing for BYU under the leadership of Carrie (Summerhays) Roberts, the daughter of The Champions Tour's Bruce Summerhays. In her All-American senior season, Alex lead her team to a West Coast Conference Championship and birdied two of the last three holes to take the individual title by a stroke. That season, she also qualified as an individual to compete at the NCAA Championship. Her top-15 finish helped her conclude her college career ranked 23rd in the nation. Professionally, Alex has one Cactus Tour win and just finished her rookie season on the Symetra Tour ranked 150. Now, Alex still has aspirations to play LPGA tour golf, but has decided to pursue her PGA card,TPI, and Op36 ceritfications here at Pensacola Country Club. Stop by and meet Alex!
